Apps In Development

Check out the Gun Club & Deadmau5 pages, early unfinished versions of both are in development. I chose the Corona SDK to develop these apps quickly and easily.

Thus far I am very impressed with how easy it is to develop with the Corona SDK, although it does have its limitations. Hopefully the limitations aren’t going to become an issue and right now I dont see this happening.

Initial Concept Art

I spent several hours playing with photoshop and came up with an initial logo screen.

I also found some awesome inventory / gui screens on OGA (Open Game Art) that i modified very slightly to fit my ideas. (All of the images are doubled so i can print them on paper and draw on them to develop ideas e.t.c)

Art Assets

Right now one of my favourite places on the internetz has to be: http://opengameart.org

It has so much neat stuff for prototyping a game and according to the forums, the licensing is such that anything on the website may even be used commercially. Therefore if an asset ends up in something i release, I’m almost worry free about it. The big thing to remember here is that you have to acknowledge the source of the assets and mention the artist i believe, which of course is not a big deal at all. I’m just thankful that there is a good collection of usable game art out there, because my pixel art skills are epic fail.

iOS Hack’n'Slash Game – Fire & Ice

Fire & Ice is just a working title for now, it will change if i come up with something better in the long-run.

I’ve finally gotten around to working on the website and giving it the attention is deserves, wordpress has come a long way since i used it years ago. The installation was simple, and making wordpress and the theme fit inside my website design wasn’t too difficult at all.
Its not 100% perfect yet, but some tweaking will sort that out!

The next step is getting together some art assets to use for prototyping e.t.c.
